The Atlanta Falcons have placed wide receiver Rondale Moore on season-ending injured reserve after he suffered a significant knee injury during a joint practice with the Miami Dolphins on Wednesday, affecting their NFL futures.

This unfortunate setback occurred during the second half of the practice session, which was abruptly halted after Moore went down. The seriousness of the injury was immediately evident to his teammates, who surrounded him as he was carted off the field with a towel covering his face. Moore’s Role in Atlanta

Moore’s injury delivers a significant blow to the Falcons’ roster. Atlanta acquired the fourth-year pro in an offseason trade with the Arizona Cardinals, which sent former Falcons starting quarterback Desmond Ridder to Arizona.

Moore, a second-round pick out of Purdue, showed promise during his three seasons with the Cardinals, recording 135 catches for 1,201 yards. He was expected to bring speed and playmaking to the Falcons’ receiving corps.
