Forever Young Wins Japan Dirt Classic, Eyes Breeders’ Cup Classic

Forever Young, the talented 3-year-old colt, secured a decisive victory in the 26th Japan Dirt Classic at Ohi Racecourse, overcoming a rocky start to win by 1 1/4 lengths. 

This race was his final prep before heading to Del Mar for the highly anticipated Breeders’ Cup Classic. The win marks another impressive performance for the colt, quickly becoming a favorite among bettors following the horse racing schedule closely.

Trained by two-time Breeders’ Cup winner Yoshito Yahagi and owned by Susumu Fujita, Forever Young recovered swiftly from a stumble out of the gate. His regular jockey, Ryusei Sakai, navigated an inside path, allowing Forever Young to stalk the pace set by Kashima Espada. 

As they rounded the second turn, Forever Young surged forward, taking the lead and pulling away in the final 300 yards. Mikki Flight, a late closer, managed to finish second, while Sunrise Zipangu followed in third, five lengths behind. Ramjet, a Grade 3 winner on a four-race win streak, finished fourth.
