The Starlet Stakes (G2) at Los Alamitos Race Course on Dec. 7 will be a critical test for some of California’s top 2-year-old fillies.  Featuring a competitive field of seven, this 1 1/16-mile race includes an impressive lineup of graded stakes winners with excellent horse racing odds, maiden-breaking standouts, and the ever-dominant Bob Baffert, who has won the last seven Starlet Stakes, offering interesting offtrack betting opportunities. 

Eoin Harty’s undefeated colt Poster has emerged as a significant contender on the road to the 2025 Kentucky Derby. Following his narrow nose victory in the Grade 2 Remsen Stakes at Aqueduct on Saturday, the Munnings colt now sits at number eight on the Derby leaderboard with 10 points. This marks the colt’s third win in as many starts, following earlier triumphs at Ellis Park and Keeneland.

Fierceness, the reigning 2-year-old male champion of 2023 and a top contender for 3-year-old honors in 2024 will not compete in the $3 million Pegasus World Cup at Gulfstream Park or any Middle East races this winter.
