NBA Odds: Ivica Zubac Contract Extension

NBA Odds and News

CROATIAN VETERAN IVICA ZUBAC AGREES ON A NEW EXTENSION

The 27-year-old veteran with eight years in the league has agreed to stay with the Los Angeles Clippers, a team he has been with since 2019. With #40 on his back, the center accepted an extension for $58,6M for three more years. This is the maximum the player can earn for that time, and will be locked down with the Clippers for the next four years. The Croatian is a critical player in the center, making the Clippers attractive to bettors on the NBA Odds.

Still, he had good numbers last season. He averaged a career-high of 11,7 points and 9,2 rebounds for the Clippers. He also had good numbers in the playoffs, improving to 16,2 points in the first round against the Dallas Mavericks.

NEW TEAM FOR THIS SEASON

The Clippers lost veteran and key player Paul George in the offseason, who left for the Philadelphia 76ers. However, they were able to keep and re-sign James Harden to a two-year deal and also added veterans Nicolas Batum, Derrick Jones Jr., Kevin Porter Jr., and Kris Dunn. Fans will closely watch the team’s evolution for the new season by betting on the NBA Odds.

Zubac has played his entire career for the two teams in Los Angeles. The Lakers drafted him and has recently played for the Clippers.

FRENCH VETERAN PLAYER EVAN FOURNIER IS RETURNING TO EUROPE

The 31-year-old veteran is returning to play with the Greek EuroLeague club Olympiacos on the old continent, signing a two-year deal worth more than $4 million.

Fournier just played for his national team, France, in the recent Olympics, winning the silver medal. He played in the NBA for 12 seasons. In the last campaign, he split playing for the New York Knicks and the Detroit Pistons. He also played for the Denver Nuggets and the Orlando Magic, where he spent most of his career. He ranks eighth in most points in franchise history (7,049) and ninth in games played (435).

His career in the NBA has seen him average 13,6 points, 2,7 rebounds, and 2,5 assists.

The French player is the second to leave the NBA and join the Greek League. The other player was Sasha Vezenkov, whom the Toronto Raptors bought out in July.
