Miami Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins enter this matchup after back-to-back losses to the Cardinals and Bills, looking to rebound and get back on track. With a record of three wins in their last four road games, Miami is hopeful that Tua Tagovailoa, who has shown solid form with a 72.7% completion rate for 948 yards, five touchdowns, and three interceptions, can lead the team to a much-needed victory.

Tagovailoa’s efficiency has been crucial, especially with star receivers Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle combining for 756 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Tight end Jonnu Smith has also contributed 30 receptions, providing Tagovailoa with another reliable target.

Miami’s ground game has been effective, averaging 133.9 rushing yards per game, led by De’Von Achane, who has rushed for 420 yards and two touchdowns. On the defensive side, Miami allows 23.4 points and 303.1 yards per game. Linebacker Jordyn Brooks has been a key contributor with 62 tackles, while Calais Campbell and Zach Sieler add support with two sacks and one interception, respectively.

The Dolphins have a strong track record as underdogs in California, winning five of their last six games in that role. Tua Tagovailoa has also excelled on the West Coast, recording two or more touchdowns as an underdog in his previous three games.

With Raheem Mostert providing consistency in the backfield, recording 45+ rushing and receiving yards in each of his last seven appearances as a road underdog, Miami’s offense has the potential to keep pace with Los Angeles in this matchup.

Los Angeles Rams

The Los Angeles Rams head into Week 11 off wins over the Vikings and Seahawks with a 3-1 record in their last four home games. Quarterback Matthew Stafford has been steady, completing 65.9% of his passes for 1,969 yards, nine touchdowns, and six interceptions. Stafford has several reliable targets, including Tutu Atwell and Demarcus Robinson, who have combined for 693 receiving yards and five touchdowns.

Cooper Kupp remains a central figure in the offense with 34 receptions, while rookie Puka Nacua has stepped up as a versatile threat with rushing and receiving yards in recent games.

The Rams’ ground game has been less dominant, averaging 97.1 yards per game, with Kyren Williams leading the team with 602 yards and eight touchdowns. On defense, Los Angeles allows 24.3 points and 360.8 yards per game. Christian Rozeboom has 65 tackles, Kobie Turner has recorded four sacks, and Jaylen McCollough has four interceptions.

Stafford’s strong track record against AFC opponents could prove advantageous. He has recorded 249+ passing yards in his last seven November matchups against AFC teams.

Running back Kyren Williams also presents a consistent threat at home, scoring a touchdown in his last eight appearances at SoFi Stadium. Demarcus Robinson has also been clutch, securing the last touchdown in three of the Rams’ past four games and consistently surpassing 35 receiving yards following a win.

Prediction

This matchup features two teams fighting to stay competitive in their respective conferences. The Dolphins are coming off a strong performance, pushing the Bills to the limit, and with Tua Tagovailoa in rhythm, they could capitalize on the Rams’ vulnerabilities.

Miami has shown strength as a road underdog, and with their explosive receiving corps and effective ground game, they have the potential to keep this game close. Additionally, the possible return of vital defensive players Zach Sieler and Bradley Chubb could boost Miami’s chances.

The Rams, however, bring a balanced attack with Matthew Stafford’s experience and a defense that has held up well at home. Stafford’s performance in November games and Kyren Williams’s consistency in the red zone provide stability for the Rams.

Given the stakes and Miami’s underdog success in California, the Dolphins are well-positioned to cover the spread, and their offensive upside may give them a chance to steal a win on the road.

Prediction: Miami Dolphins +1.5 (-110)
