Legendary horse racing trainer Sir Michael Stoute has announced his retirement, concluding an extraordinary 60-year career that has left an indelible mark on the sport. At 78 years old, Stoute has trained some of the most iconic horses in racing history, including six Epsom Derby winners and 16 British classic victories. His accomplishments also extend to Ireland, where he claimed 13 classic titles.

Del Mar’s 11th Bing Crosby Season is set to begin on Thursday, October 31, and run through Sunday, December 1. The season will feature 20 stakes races, highlighted by the Breeders' Cup, which returns to the seaside oval for the third time after previous editions in 2017 and 2021.

The 2024 Kentucky Downs Ladies Marathon Stakes is set to be an attractive event featuring a competitive field of nine fillies and mares. This Grade III race, held annually in September at Kentucky Downs in Franklin, Kentucky, covers a distance of 1 5/16 miles on turf and boasts a $1,000,000 purse, including $400,000 from the Kentucky Thoroughbred Development Fund.
