Heading into the 2024 NFL season, expectations for the New York Jets are higher than ever. After years of underperformance last year, the Jets made a blockbuster move by bringing in four-time NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers from the Green Bay Packers.

Though disappointed by last season’s outcome, Mosley acknowledged that the experience strengthened the team. “Aaron going down was tough, but you have to bounce back. We could have quit, but we finished the year strong. Now, with him returning, we’re ready to put points on the board and make a serious push,” Mosley added.

The Jets took proactive measures to improve their quarterback situation, bringing in Tyrod Taylor as a seasoned backup to Rodgers. Taylor’s stability ensures that the Jets won’t face the same quarterback struggles if Rodgers goes down again.

Rodgers Instills a Winning Mentality

Since moving from the Green Bay Packers, Rodgers has fully embraced life with the Jets, making an impact both on and off the field. His leadership has transformed the team’s mentality, and he has become a pivotal figure in the locker room. “He’s a special person,” Mosley said. “He’s an A-list celebrity but remains approachable. It’s crazy that I get to say he’s my teammate.” Rodgers’ influence has resonated with every team member, regardless of their role, which has helped build a cohesive unit determined to succeed.

Quincy Williams highlighted Rodgers’ leadership: “He’s a future Hall of Famer, so when he speaks, we listen. Whether you’re a rookie or a veteran, he treats everyone equally; that energy is contagious.” Rodgers has also taken the time to train with younger players and even ran the practice squad while recovering from his injury. His presence has instilled a belief in the team that they are capable of greatness.

It’s Time to Go All In

The Jets have made several key additions to improve their offensive line and give Rodgers the protection he needs. They used their first draft pick on offensive lineman Olu Fashanu and brought in veterans like Morgan Moses, John Simpson, and Tyron Smith to provide stability. 

The team also added wide receiver Mike Williams to enhance their downfield attack. With these reinforcements, the Jets believe they have all the pieces necessary to compete for a Super Bowl.

Williams emphasized the urgency of capitalizing on their opportunity: “It’s our fourth year together as a team and coaching staff. Now it’s time to go all in. The Super Bowl is the goal, and anything less will be a disappointment.”

As the Jets prepare for the new season, they’ve also launched a new kit, the New York Sack Exchange, honoring their dominant defense from the 1980s. 

One of the team’s longest-serving players, Mosley is determined to lead the Jets to new heights. “We want to do something special. It’s time to put wins on the board and make things happen,” he said.
