Aqueduct Racetrack is a thoroughbred horse racetrack located in South Ozone Park, Queens, New York. This is the only racetrack located within one of the cities five boroughs of York.

Belmont Park is one of the major racetrack in the US and s located in Elmont, New York, on Long Island. It has been around since May 4, 1905. Belmont Park hosts one of the most famous races in all the land, the Belmont Stakes. Belmont Park has also hosted the Breeders’ Cup championship in 1990, 1995, 2001 and 2005. Buffalo Raceway opened in June of 1942, shortly after New York State passed a bill allowing pari-mutuel harness racing. With it’s proximity to Canada many Canadian stables arrive in Hamburg every year to race.

Finger Lakes Race Course is 20 miles southeast of Rochester, New York. They first opened for racing back in 1962 and host roughly 160 race days each season. This includes the notable New York Derby.

Saratoga Race Course is the oldest organized sporting venue in the United States. It was named one of the world’s greatest sporting venues by Sports Illustrated and has been around since 1863. The race course is known as the “Graveyard of Champions” as many an upset has happened here.

Tioga Downs was originally a quarter horse track known as “Tioga Park” that opened back in 1976. It then re-opened on June 9, 2006 offering harness racing and simulcast betting.

Vernon Downs offers Harness Racing from April to November each year. The races are run Thursday’s through Saturday’s with most post times starting at 6:45 p.m each of these days..

Yonkers Raceway located near the border of New York City, opened back in 1899. It is a 1/2 mile standard bred harness racing dirt track and one of the few that offer harness racing all year. Yonkers is now the home of three major harness events: the Yonkers Trot, Art Rooney Pace and Messenger Stakes.
